Have you ever tried to outrun your own shadow?
Nullohm has worked with Centerstage and made some interactive electronics for a gameshow on The Norwegian TV channel – TV-Norge. The show is called “Hvem kan slå Aamodt og Kjus”
The first was a boxing sack that counted hits/minute over a defined G-force, and displayed it on a large screen in the back of the stage.
The second was a 8×8 grid “Reaction wall” , a pretty heavy build, with custom made PCBs and 64 switches/LEDs…
If there is anything that will define the present style-period in architecture and design in retrospective it may not be the estetic´s, the materials or the production techniques. It want be the current political or cultural currents as single influence either. It will be the creative explosion in the usage of embedded electronics in our objects and surroundings. Not only as simple means to solve a task, but as a defining quality that leads to new shape, usage and experience that has not been seen before. The creative explosion in the use or micro-controllers like PIC and Arduino has given the creatives the tools of the professional industry, and classics will be created.
The Oslo based architects from Bifokal is thinking along the same lines as we do. So when we meet, it was natural to join our skills, knowledge and resources to create some of these visions.

Google Chromes fantastic workshop video in Mythbusters style (but why did they make a “behind the scenes”?) was inspiring for Operas professional browser testers, -Odd and Even.
They also wanted to speed test browsers versus potatoes to find the fastest of the two.
Nullohm got the challenging task of developing the highly advanced apparatus for this exiting experiment. And we are very proud to present this state of art technology.
Azure Magazine has in their special 25th anniversary issue an interesting article on the new trends of interactive surroundings. Featuring some of the most interesting technologies available on market, our own Dobpler Interactive LED System included of course.
Check it out on your well stocked local supplier of good magazines!

If you want to take a closer look to the Dobpler system in real life you have the opportunity in Athen this January.
We have been really busy the last months with a lot of experimenting and projects for clients. Working with establishing the company and partnering with suppliers etc. Letting the webpage down. Now its time to change that.
We have some cases from the workshop that we did for fun and testing that we will post some photos from soon. We are working with a kinetic project, and some of the testing we did was to build a robotic to take care of the gardening in our office. Yes that right, we don´t only have the casual office plant, we have a indoor lawn. And the grass needs to be cut, watered and feed with light and nutrients. Our experience with a indoor lawn is that it really makes the air better, its summer-felling all year round and its probably more effective as a air freshener than the casual office plant.
We plan to post some projects like these along with news about or work and projects for clients, not as much as DIY tutorials, but for inspiration and fun.
Dobpler was invited to participate in the Well-Tech exhibition in Milan – A Eco-Design exhibition witch is a part of the Milan Design week.
We had great response on our ‘Designer version’ of the Dobpler wall – With tailor-made aluminum, glass and Solid Oak stand…
The trip was quite long… 2000 km in car each way.. Phui!.
Sunday it was an article regarding Stig Skjelvik and the Dobpler interaktive light wall in the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet. It was in the paper version, I will link it up if it comes to the web-version..
