Pedestrian/bicycle passage in Sandvika, Norway

Located  between Bærum Kulturhus and the cinema there is a narrow passage for pedestrians and bicycles.  Lighting designer Linda Knoph Vigsnæs from Lystoff have been responsible for the lighting plan, and suggested a interactive light wall to brighten up the dark passage and create responsive visibility in an effort to ease the potential conflicts between cyclists and pedestrians.

Bærum Culture House is a respected stage for dance and theater, designed by Snøhetta Architects, so a Mnemosyne led wall seems like the perfect match with it´s theme of humans in motion.

To cover a larger stretch of the passage  and mirror the culture-house´s  vertical architecture Nullohm created the interactive modules in increasing sizes divided apart.
